Account and connection FAQs

Check the account rules first, then troubleshoot your connection. Browse by issue, or open a support ticket in the user panel for help with an order.

Account / Subscription

Account & subscriptions

Account credentials, subscription updates, and device use. Make sure you’re using the same account throughout.

What information do I need to create an account?

No email address is required. Create an account with a username and password. After opening the user panel, save your login details securely before choosing a plan or configuring a client. Your username identifies your account; your subscription link lets your client retrieve route configurations. They serve different purposes. Use a unique password, and never share your account credentials or subscription link in public documents, group chats, or screenshots. If you forget your login details, check your password manager and saved records first. If you need help, use a support option available in the panel, and never include your full password in a support request.

How do I update my subscription link, and when should I import it again?

Sign in to the user panel and check your subscription status, then find the current link in the subscription details. In most clients, you can update an existing configuration from the subscription or configuration manager. After updating, check that the route list appears correctly and select a route again. If the original link has been replaced, the client says the address is invalid, or the old configuration remains after an update, copy the current link and import it again. Once the new configuration works, you can remove the old one. Button names vary between clients, so follow the interface you see. Never submit your subscription link to a public online converter or paste the full link into a support ticket.

Do I need to buy again if I switch devices or use several devices at once?

There is no device limit, so changing devices does not mean you need to buy again. VPNFund supports Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux. On a new device, open the client section of the user panel, follow the instructions for your platform to get a client, and import your current account subscription. Whether to keep the old device connected is up to you. Device limits and data allowances are separate: unlimited devices does not mean unlimited data. Check your subscription status and data balance in your account before use. If you give a device to someone else, sign out first and remove any saved subscription configuration.

How does the no-logs policy relate to keeping your subscription link safe?

VPNFund's privacy commitment is a no-logs policy; read the privacy policy for details about what it covers. Privacy practices do not replace account security: a subscription link is an access credential that lets a client retrieve route configurations, so do not share it like an ordinary webpage link. When troubleshooting, you can provide the client name, operating system, error message, and a screenshot with sensitive details hidden. You do not need to provide your full password or subscription link. If you think your link has been exposed, check the panel for an option to reset or update it, then update your client as well. If you are unsure what to do, explain the situation in a support ticket.

Connection / Diagnostics

Connection & troubleshooting

Check your local network, subscription configuration, route, and target app in that order. Change one thing at a time.

The client says it’s connected, but webpages won’t load. What should I check first?

First, make sure your local network is working, then check your subscription status and data balance in the user panel. A “connected” status only means the connection process has reached that state; it does not confirm that every app can access the internet. Next, make sure you are using the newly updated configuration rather than an old one. Try switching routes and reopening the webpage. If only one site is affected, note its error message; there is no need to keep reinstalling the client. If nothing loads, check system proxy permissions, whether another proxy app is running at the same time, and whether the issue persists on a different local network.

Why does my browser work, but a particular app won’t use the proxy?

Browsers and apps may use different network paths. Some apps make their own connections, reuse cached connections, or ignore system proxy settings, so a working browser does not mean the app is using the same route. First, check that the client’s current mode and rules match the app, then fully close and reopen it. If the client has an option to route system traffic, read the guide for your platform and confirm what the setting does and which permissions it needs before enabling it. Corporate networks, work devices, and managed devices may have additional restrictions. When troubleshooting, note the app name and error message, and change one setting at a time.

Subscription update failed or the route list is empty. What should I do?

Sign in to the user panel in your browser and make sure the account matches the subscription you are using. Then copy the link from the panel again, taking care not to add spaces or line breaks or miss any characters. Check that your client supports the configuration format you are importing; do not mix in a format intended for another client. If the link is correct but the update still fails, try again on a local network that can access the panel, and save the error message shown by the client. An empty route list does not necessarily mean every route is down; the import method or configuration parsing may be the issue. If you submit a ticket, describe the import steps and hide any credentials in the link.

Still can’t connect after troubleshooting? What should I include in a support ticket?

Sign in to the user panel and open the support ticket section. Describe what you were doing when the issue occurred, the platform and client you use, and the full error message. Say whether the issue affects every site or only a particular app or service, and list what you have already tried, such as updating the subscription, switching routes, or changing local networks. Screenshots should show the relevant error while hiding passwords, subscription links, and sensitive payment information. A clear description is more useful than simply saying it does not work. You can add updates to the same ticket instead of splitting one issue across separate requests without context.

Network / Route Selection

Speed & routes

Route names can help with troubleshooting, but choose based on how your apps actually perform.

Videos buffer during peak hours. Should I switch routes or plans first?

Check the route and your local network first; buffering alone does not mean your plan is insufficient. Check whether you still have data available, pause other network-intensive tasks, then compare different routes using the same content. If performance changes after switching routes, note the route name and what happened. If all routes are slow, compare your local network, device connection, and the streaming platform itself. Monthly plans offer different data allowances; upgrading is not a guarantee of faster speeds at all times. Video playback also depends on the source, platform, device, and local network, so assess it based on your actual experience.

How should I choose between IEPL, relay, and direct routes?

Route types describe how a connection is routed, but the name alone does not tell you how it will perform. Use IEPL, relay, and direct routes as categories to guide your choice; check the user panel or client for routes currently available and how they are labeled. Start by identifying the region of the service you want to access, then compare connection quality and app behavior under similar conditions. Do not compare results from different network environments or choose based only on geographic distance. Keep an alternative route available if your usual one has issues. For further troubleshooting, share the route name and what happened in the specific app rather than saying only that a route type does not work.

Which regions are covered? Can I choose a city or guarantee a platform will work?

VPNFund covers 100+ countries / 160+ routes. These figures indicate the range of route options; check the panel for specific regions, route names, and city details. They do not mean that every city has a route. For streaming services or AI tools, check the platform’s supported regions, your account status, and its rules. Your exit region is only one factor, so we cannot guarantee that a particular platform will always work. Review the route list, then test the service you want to use. If only one platform shows an error, note its name, the route region, and the error message to help identify the cause.

Why are video or AI tools slow when a speed test looks fine?

A speed test and the app you want to use usually connect to different destinations, so test results do not necessarily reflect actual video or AI tool performance. Video may be affected by regional restrictions, the content source, or buffering behavior. AI tools may depend on your account status, server load, or how the app connects. Compare using real tasks—for example, play the same video or submit the same kind of request—while keeping your local network and client settings unchanged. If the browser and app perform differently, check proxy rules and app cache first. If the issue occurs on only one route, note its name. Do not ignore an app’s specific error just because a single speed test looks normal.

Billing / Refund Rules

Billing & refunds

Understand the billing options first, then check allowances, orders, and refund terms.

How much do monthly plans and data packages cost, and who are they for?

Monthly plans: ¥9.9/month for 60GB · ¥18/month for 250GB · ¥28/month for 500GB. Data packages: ¥158 for 300GB · ¥358 for 1000GB · ¥658 for 3000GB. Monthly plan data resets each month on the activation date. Data packages last until used and never expire. Before choosing, consider whether you use the service regularly or only occasionally, then pick an allowance that suits your needs. There is no device limit, but your chosen data allowance still applies; data that never expires is not unlimited. Check the panel for ordering and account details when using different billing options. Do not assume that allowances can be combined, how they are deducted, or whether they can be converted.

When does monthly data reset, and what happens if I upgrade partway through?

Monthly plan data resets each month on your activation date, not on the first day of the calendar month. To check your account, look at the activation details and current data status in the panel. Do not assume your allowance has reset just because the calendar month has changed. If you upgrade partway through, the price difference is prorated for the remaining days. Before changing plans, review the change details and order result shown in the panel, then confirm the change. This is different from data packages, which last until used and never expire; do not apply one rule to the other. If your data records do not match your expectations, note the plan name and relevant actions, then ask support to review them. Do not assume any rollover rules that have not been specified.

Which payment methods are supported, and what if my status doesn’t update after payment?

Supported payment methods: Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT. Choose a plan in the user panel and follow the order flow, checking the plan name, amount, and payment method before proceeding. The payment page and the order status in the panel are separate details to check. If payment is complete but the panel has not updated, return to your order history and refresh it. Do not pay again repeatedly. Once you confirm the payment record matches the order, submit a ticket with the order ID, payment method, and a redacted payment receipt so support can check it. Never provide your payment password. Follow the instructions on the order page for each payment method; do not use someone else’s screenshot to enter payment details or transfer information.

How do I request a refund, and what information do I need?

VPNFund offers refunds within 7 days, no questions asked. See the Terms of Service for the applicable rules. To request a refund, sign in to the account used for payment, open the support ticket section, clearly state that you are requesting a refund, and include the relevant order ID. You may attach a redacted payment record to help verify the order; do not send full payment account credentials or passwords. If you are also having connection issues, you can mention them, but keep troubleshooting details separate from the refund request. Check the panel for a reply and provide any additional information needed for verification. The ticket response will confirm the refund status and outcome; this page does not promise an unspecified processing time.
